Lost in thought.
Sometimes I get really random thoughts like today I was trying to figure out if you could describe a sound to a deaf person.
I was thinking about this as I was walking along the most beautiful white sand beach in Pensacola Beach, Florida. The sand there is so fine that when you walk on it, it makes a sound similar to washing windows with a wet cloth or like my husband said, the sound basketball shoes make when they start and stop on a basketball court. Kind of a squeeky or screechy noise.
Anyway, I wondered how could one describe that sound, or for that matter, any sound to a deaf person?
While it took me quite sometime to figure out how to describe the sound, I guess it is pretty obvious you can't explain that to a deaf person who has never heard anything.
So maybe you can see that every now and then I visit unfamilar territory and get lost in thought.
